Lillian Osborne Catchment Feb 18th PD Day
We are excited to be able to gather together as a catchment for a morning of learning in support of meeting the diverse needs of our students across our schools, Division and in the greater community.

The Lillian Osborne Catchment is pleased to offer a half day of learning in support of our Catchment Goals:

Goal #1 By June 2024, all students will demonstrate growth in literacy, numeracy and mathematics. Professional learning opportunities will be provided for all staff to build efficacy and implement high-quality instructional and assessment practices across the curriculum. Students who require additional time and support will receive interventions and enrichment opportunities.

Goal #2 By June 2024, all staff will take intentional steps to implement a comprehensive catchment-wide approach focused on meeting the diverse needs of students. Staff will actively engage in strategies to create welcoming, caring, respectful, safe and inclusive learning and working environments.

Please select from the sessions listed below for each session slot or a single double session.

Chubby Cree is a First Nations indigenous hand drum group that has taken the internet by storm. Consisting of ten-year-old prodigy Noah Green with his larger-than-life voice and grandmother Carol Powder.  For the past five years, the group has been playing non-stop around their hometown of Edmonton, at both traditional powwow events and as a go-to artist at events in support of women’s rights, the environment and the marginalized of society. Channeling the authentic spirit of Cree music and its healing power to unite people, the group's powerful performances have often brought audience members to tears.  This is a riveting and heartwarming story of the making of courage, determination and raw talent, fused with keeping a valuable heritage alive and paying it forward into the future. And we will be there as it unfolds.
